Welp, wedding off season is officially upon us. This past weekend was really the first weekend in months to not have a wedding or do anything wedding related. After shooting 27 weddings so far this year we are so excited to have multiple Saturdays off. We spent our first free weekend watching OU football, hanging with friends and family, hosting housechurch, rocking out at the U2 concert, and doing nothing. It was awesome. I have shot 3 births this month so even though we arent shooting weddings I have been shooting births like crazy! Its funny how the scheduling of that works out. I am waiting to get permission to post one of their slideshows!
In other news…. we do not have any portrait sessions available for the rest of 2010. We posted that we would be doing 10 family sessions a couple of weeks ago and they filled up the next morning. With the weather starting to get colder earlier and our extensive travel schedule we will not be doing ANY shoots after November 16th! If you need a family session feel free to contact us and we can direct you to some of our local photographer friends who do awesome work! If you recently booked your wedding with us and want your engagement session scheduled we only have 3 open dates for those as well. Otherwise we will put them first in line for our spring sessions when everything is green and pretty again! We have lots of traveling adventures coming up so the next few months will be a bit sporadic here on the blog. Here is what we have coming up!
-It all starts with alumni weekend at Baylor. We attend this just about every year and its always fun to reconnect with some of our friends from college. The Baylor baseball team is hosting its annual alumni game and Jace is excited about playing. The kids and I are just excited about jumping on the beds and swimming in the hotel pool :)
-The first week in November I will be at a photography conference in NEW ORLEANS for 6 days! I am so excited and am rooming with my awesome photographer friend Meaghan! woo- hoo! A week in New Orleans with some really awesome photographers… I cannot wait! Meaghan is on the left… (hi janet)
-My sister in law, Marcy is getting married in December at the Farmers Market and I am SO SO SO excited for her! She is one of my best friends and I just adore her. Her fiancee (who I also love) grew up in my hometown and we have known each other for a LONG time. I have been helping her plan a bit here and there and its always a great learning experience to be on the opposite side of wedding planning! I am a bridesmaid, my husband is an usher, and both my children are the ring bearer/flower girl so we will be busy helping with all things wedding related come December. Just prepare yourself for their hot engagement shoot – we found some awesome new places!
-For Christmas this year my parents have decided to take us all on a family cruise… it will be our first cruise ever! So when everyone is frantically shopping around for last minute holiday gifts we will be cruising the Caribbean.
-We are SO SO SO excited to be photographing a destination wedding to BELIZE in January. We are taking our kiddos and my brother and sister in law have decided to go as well to watch our kiddos while we work. WE SO CANNOT WAIT TO SPEND A WEEK IN BELIZE with this awesome couple! We are doing their engagement shoot next weekend so you will get to meet them soon!
After this things get back to normal! We have traveled a TON playing baseball but I feel like this will be a lot of traveling coming up for us!
Wedding off season is always such a welcome break for us. We are so excited about having some down time and it always gives us a chance to recharge before our rockin 2010 weddings are here!
