30 days of absurdity…

So, we had a “camp-in” saturday night. It is basically where we throw pillows and blankets in a room that is not a bedroom and all sleep together. Its pretty fun, really. Anyway, so we were all up late talking and I asked the kids, “what can we do that is fun over spring break?” I was thinking possibly visiting my aunt who lives in TX on the red river or drive to Austin or something…. when Haven grabs my face and turns it to hers so that she is two inches in front of my face looking into my eyes and with the most serious look on her face and tone in her voice she says, “Mommy, mommy, why dont we all put on princess dresses and twirl around?” That was her idea of doing something fun over spring break. Just about every single day she says something so comical and absurd that makes us laugh out loud. The best part of the story was Jax then chimed in , “Haven, that is not what I want to do on my spring break!”
I am going to be posting pics from my 30 days of absurdity coffee table book I am making for Haven. Sorry, a lot of them are from my point and shoot or iphone and arent edited or perfect in any way- but are completely REAL- no posing here friends! At some point every single day of our lives this child dresses up in the most absurd attire one could think of. Way too small cheerleading outfit, with a leopard print jacket, princess house shoes along with sunglasses is the outfit for today. Seriously, I do not understand this child. I will leave you with an image from day one.
Haven, was quietly playing alone upstairs (which is not a normal occurrence) when I yelled up and asked her what she was doing- she said she was having a tea party with fancy nancy. Oh, okay honey. SO why does two inch Fancy Nancy doll on your dresser require you to wear a Baylor cheerleading outfit to this event? Day ONE. Prepare yourselves.
