Taylor here… with a sweet family session I shot last week in Norman. This secluded little green space has become one of my favorite spots to shoot in Norman! The lighting is perfect almost any time of day and with the exception of a few runners and dog walkers it is pretty quiet!

Of course I’m in love with this family, many of you probably recognize this sweet mama, because she is my assistant at almost all of my mini sessions. Man, I love her! We actually met 17 years ago when I joined Young Life in college. She was still in high school! We eventually roomed together for a semester in college and have remained friends for all of these years. A while back I asked her to come work with me, because she has the best work ethic, is willing to do absolutely anything and picked up the mechanics of photography quite easily!

We mainly shoot families now, so she is the best with kids, making them laugh and feeling comfortable in front of the camera. I’m sure lucky to have her by my side, because she really does make my job easier by relating to the kids so well. She is an expert bubble blower, dog wrangler and tickle monster.

Watching her with her little girls is so inspiring. She is such a patient and gentle mama and she is very aware of her kids emotional and physical needs. She loves those precious girls so much and is doing such an amazing job of raising them with her hubby, who is also an incredible dad!

We had a great time and were a little confused why their littlest one wasn’t smiling quite like she usually does, but found out the next day that she had an ear infection, sweet girl. We were so impressed with her willingness to do all the things without any tears!
