HI AGAIN!!! You’ve definitely seen this crazy family on the blog before. They have been letting me take their pictures for over 8 years now. They trusted me before I even trusted myself. In fact, Lindsay asked me to take pictures of your oldest’s newborn pictures and sometimes I cringe when I look back at those, because I didn’t really know what I was doing. But there is something so beautiful about them, because Lindsay trusted me and I wanted to do it and she loved them, and her daughter was cute. And now she is EIGHT!?? WHAT IN THE WORLD? There is no better family than this one. They love hard and cheer even harder.
About three years ago they entered the fostering process, with no expectations, except saying ‘YES’ to what God had called them to, loving kiddos that might need a little extra love. And that is exactly what they have done. I know it hasn’t been easy. Lindsay was like 3 months pregnant when they went to the hospital to bring their sweet foster girl home! But each of their own kiddos have brought this girl into their family, like a true sister. The big girls are the best little mamas and the little brother thinks of her as his best friend. They have all just truly given their whole selves to love this girl and her family!
I know it has been hard and emotional, but it has been so beautiful. And their sweet little girl was reunified with her father and siblings shortly after this shoot and that has been such a precious thing. This girl is loved more than ever and their family is filled with hope for her and for her bio family’s future. They would probably even say, their own family has gained more from the process than they even thought possible.
They are some of my own personal heroes. They are so sacrificial and generous and passionate and FULL of joy. How can I not love these people? I’m so lucky to call them friends! Don’t they just look like the most fun?
