Brian and Julie were married last week at the Watercolor Inn and Resort in Watercolor, Florida. It was so fun to celebrate them and all of the festivities that surrounded their special day! The week of the wedding the weather was not looking so good. With the recent hurricane that was heading in it was overcast or raining every day that we were there. We were hoping the wedding day would be sunny but it was not looking like it was going to be. It had said 85% chance of rain every hour of their wedding day. Ill spare you the long story but it ended up being awesome for their beach wedding. Crazily enough it started POURING as we were walking back to our room from the reception. We watched another wedding on the beach the day after and it POURED down rain on the ceremony. Brian and Julie were so lucky to have sunshine! We were so grateful for it for them!
We say it every single year but there is something so unique and special about destination weddings. Of course we love local weddings too but getting to spend 3-4 days with our clients makes it an entirely different ballgame. It is hard to even describe the closeness we feel to our destination clients. There is something truly special about having only your very closest friends and family in the same place to celebrate with you for several days. It is truly is so so so fun! We only photograph one destination wedding per year and we believe that the perfect couple for this spot comes along every single time. We have yet to find a couple that we did not adore after the week of wedding festivities played out. Brian and Julie’s friends and families were SO kind and awesome and invited us (and our kiddos) into their lives and we loved getting to know all of them!
The Watercolor and Seaside, Florida area is SUCH an awesome little place! We spent the week riding our bikes, swimming, and eating dinner at quaint little taco stands on the beach. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Watercolor Inn and resort!
Brian and Julie, thank you for the fun memories that your wedding week gave our family. We will never forget them. We love you guys!
