So… you may remember our sweet couple Lacey and Kevin?

Their wedding was back in April in Edmond. Well we had the privilege of designing these custom invitations for their wedding. They turned out absolutely gorgeous!

We printed their custom design on white metallic paper and folded everything up together is this beautiful purple metallic pocketfold. The pocket was sealed together with a custom monogrammed sticker. These invitations came wrapped in matching purple envelopes and were addressed with these perfectly convenient custom designed and coordinating address labels.

These pocketfold invitations are the perfect answer to keeping all of your wedding invitation pieces together. And for your guests, they know where they can find all the information they need to know about your wedding day.

As always these invitations were custom designed and so can yours! Contact us at taylor@hollibphotography.com for pricing and any other details.

Where are your wedding photos? On a dvd in a drawer? Have you backed them up? Had any printed? Dont you want to show your children and grandchildren a beautiful album of your wedding day?
About a year ago Taylor COMPLETELY revamped our client album ordering process. She starts from a custom album consultation to hand delivering your album upon completion. You have to see them in person to truly appreciate them! Below is an album she designed that we have had for over a year now and I cannot believe I havent blogged about it! We love the look and size of this album. If you would like to set up your album consultation contact taylor@hollibphotography.com

Several of you saw my twitter when I said I got the BEST Christmas present ever from Taylor. Well, here it is. Taylor (somehow) got some of my friends and clients to write a “rave” for a book that she designed for me for Christmas. A lot of people in the book are our clients whom she knows, but there were also people she doesnt know and how she got in touch with them I have yet to find out. I found out later she even came to my office while I was out of town at a conference to get images off a hard drive so that she could put them in the book. She is nuts. I love her dearly. I am so grateful for this book. I cannot tell you how much I love it. It is water to my soul.
On Christmas Eve I woke up accidentally before my kids and made my way in to the kitchen. I poured myself a cup of coffee and I saw a package on the countertop. I didnt know what it was but it was all wrapped up with my logo and such on the front and looked like something we would give a client. I then proceeded to my computer to get a head start on email before the day began and Taylor had sent me an email with the subject line: READ THIS AFTER YOU OPEN YOUR CHRISTMAS GIFT…. I then knew the package was for me. (it is so like her to know that there is a good chance I will always check my email before I do anything else in the morning….) I sat down at my kitchen table and opened the package and had NO idea what it was. When I saw that it was a beautiful lay flat book from an album company I have always wanted to try out I knew it had to be Taylor. The first page was written by my best friend Abbey. If you follow the blog you will remember her sweet baby Annie being born at 3.5lbs last spring…. I immediately started to cry. I love this image I took of Abbey and Annie when she was in the NICU.

This is Sheila. She got married this past year and we dearly love her. She is a gynecologist in Oklahoma City and Taylor and I are competing to become her best friend because she is the funniest person we know. On the left side here is my dear bride Casey. She brought a sweet turquoise chair to her bridal session and I am still waiting for her to donate it to my office :) On the right is Daniel and Lacey. They had a fabulous wedding at Dresser Mansion this past summer. They, too, had an awesome getaway car and the best part about this image (that I LOVE) is that Taylor was laying in the front seat of this car with a flash to get the perfect lighting from in front of them! (lets just say that Taylor is a pretty cool assistant that will do ANYTHING for a great shot) After I flipped the page and saw my dearest friend Laurel and her family, I pretty much lost it. My heart still aches that I dont get to see her every day. They are doing well in Oman, but the middle east is WAY too far away for one of your very best friends to live. I love these pics we took of them before they left.
this is my friend Jan who lives in Colorado. We met while they were living in Norman a few years ago and became quick friends. She has started her own photography business this past year and I have mentored her along the way. I am so proud of how much she has grown as a photographer.

This is Mckenzie, she is one of my oldest friends in the world. Taylor doesnt even know her but she knows Mckenzie is one of my best friends. We have known each other for probably 15 years or so. She stayed the night with me on her wedding night and I made her breakfast in bed. I shot her wedding a LONG time ago with film and it was the first time I really thought I could do photography for a living. I love her so much.

Just read this and tell me you are not tearing up….

My dear friend Stacie…. I am so honored to photograph her sweet family several times a year. I was there to watch baby Sean come into the world and get to document all of his milestones. I am blessed to know you Stac! The last one is from Taylor.

So… Taylor is amazing. Taylor and I met for the first time at her wedding consultation and immediately hit it off. We shot her wedding almost two years ago and she began working with us back in December of 2008. She quit her full time graphic design job to start her own business and do some design and photography work with us. I am so proud of her as a designer and we are so blessed to have someone this talented doing all of our design work. She has done TONS of work for our brides this year from save the dates, thank you cards, invitations, programs, guest books and wedding albums- she definitely knows design. Also, this girl knows me and my business inside out. She knows just about everything about me and loves me anyway. Sometimes when she shows up to work I am still in my pajamas and havent brushed my teeth. Sometimes we eat chocolate for lunch. (Its a sad story folks) Other times I forget to ask her to design a guest book for a wedding the same week of the wedding. SO she designs it for me the same day and gets overnight shipping so we have the book in time for the wedding. Sometimes she picks up my daughter from preschool. Sometimes she thinks back to the time when I was her wedding photographer and not her friend/employer and we laugh about it. Sometimes she brings me Starbucks or gelato or Chikfila or other goodies. Sometimes we skip work to take our friend Liz a Sonic diet coke. Sometimes she invites me over to her house and we watch an entire season of Lost in one sitting. The very best friends you can have are the ones who are completely honest with you 100% of the time. They are transparent in sharing and living their lives openly with you. I am blessed to have found such a good friend in Taylor. Even more blessed that I talked her into working with me :) Taylor, I could not do it without you. I truly do not know how we ever did. You are amazing and I am honored that you are my dear friend. Thank you. So to celebrate her awesomeness I went thru some really old stuff and decided to post it here. You can see a little slideshow I did for her HERE. Taylor and David were the first couple to use my infamous funky chair and super fun green field… her wedding was SUPER fun… one of her bridesmaids accidentally got lipstick on taylors wedding dress and she didnt freak out about it…
she met David before the ceremony so that we had enough time for us to go to a different location for her wedding party pics and gave us about an hour to shoot her and David alone. I love these images from her wedding day
she does LOTS of things for me when assisting me at shoots or weddings…
here she helped me photograph Jonathan Kaynes new doggy couture line, which literally meant she dressed dogs in really nice clothes for the day :)
she NEVER gets tired of working with me… she is so dedicated she will even get back in to her dress to do pictures anywhere I want

David and Taylor…. we love you!!!

It’s Taylor here again. I know it has been a while, but I have some gorgeous invitations to show you.

Hilary and Ryan are getting married this weekend in Norman. We designed their beautiful invitations and we thought this would be a great way to tell them how excited we are for this weekend! Hilary’s colors are black and white, but instead of using stark white paper for her invitations she decided to go with a more elegant champagne metallic paper and they look absolutely stunning. We used an elegant scroll pattern at the bottom of her invitations, RSVP cards, direction cards and programs. The design was very classy and elegant, but we used the date to give it a more contemporary feel. Hilary was so great to work with and had some ideas to get her invitations started. She is also an incredible hair dresser at Lolli’s Beauty Bar in Norman. You should definitely stop by and make an appointment. We love when we are able to hand deliver invitations. It gives us a chance to package them up for the bride and deliver them in a fun little basket. Invitations are such an important part of your wedding, they are usually the first impression your guest have of your wedding and we want them to be perfect!

Hilary and Ryan – we are looking forward to celebrating with you this weekend! See you soon!

Hopefully I’ll be posting plenty more of the invitations and other things we have been doing up here soon! But if you are interested in having us design you some custom invitations or anything else for that matter, please send us an email. You can contact me directly at:
