Since my plan of having dinner with a group of my best friends and husbands was thwarted by my super awesome surprise breakfast- we spent the evening of my birthday catching frogs with our two best friends and their families.

We are fancy like that ;)

We bought some land just south of Norman over a year ago and we absolutely love being out there. This summer in July there were thousands and thousands of baby frogs around our pond. We werent sure why they were there but our kids thought it was SO much fun to catch them! I had been telling my two girl friends that we really needed to take all of our kiddos out there and how much fun it would be. Our intentions were really to wear old shoes and clothes and see who could catch the most baby frogs. However, one thing turned to the next and we decided to take each kid on a kayak ride and then by the end of the night we were all in the pond swimming, catching frogs, playing in the mud, throwing our kids around and laughing a lot.
I had a really beautiful breakfast early morning with my favorite people in the world and then caught frogs and played in the mud that night with all of our kiddos. I could not have dreamed up a better 30th birthday.

My cup runneth over.
