Oh… Morgan and Paul… I should have emotionally prepared myself a bit more for your wedding. I mean, I shoot weddings for a living, I see a lot of the same things a lot of the times. I see first looks and first dances and speeches and all of the things. I knew there was something different about your story when I met you and your parents at our consultation and your dad teared up just talking about your wedding day.
I will be honest, I teared up quite a few times on your big day. First, it SNOWED… which was your dream come true… something that you have prayed for since you have been engaged. AND not just a dusting of snow… a beautiful blanket of snow just for you on your wedding day! Second, a first look with your brothers and dad?!?! Are you kidding me? What sweet brothers you have! The things that they said to you, how proud they were to show you off, and the way they put you on display… I have not seen brothers love a sister so well. The way you and Paul were SO giddy with excitement about your day FINALLY being here. The quivering lip that Paul had when waiting for you to walk down the aisle. The amount of times your dad thanked us for working so hard?! What in the world? The way Pauls mom clutched her son so tightly during their mother/son dance. The way your friends and family THREW A FRIGGIN PARTY on the dance floor? Man, people love you guys so much. You have poured into so many people and what a blessing it was to be a part of your day.
Thank you for ending my 2014 wedding season with a breath of fresh air. For reminding me why I do what I do. What a joy it was to celebrate you!
