So a few months ago I (this is Sarah by the way) had the crazy privilege of photographing the birth of sweet Livi. I have always said that I am amazed at how Brides and Grooms allow me to be in the most intimate moments of one of the biggest days of their lives, and it still floors me. But it was at my first birth that I realized there are definitely moments of intimacy that compete with those wedding day ones. It is one of the craziest honors I may ever have to be asked into a delivery room to capture the moment a mom and dad meet their new little one they have been anticipating for nine months. Not to mention the journey of labor and the vulnerability a person must go through experiencing something so unknown and let’s be honest at moments just painful.
Livi’s birth was no exception. It was absolutely beautiful… and Angie (momma) did amazing! She was the one pepping up the room as we all waited for that sweet girl to decide it was time to meet everyone. Not to mention she was so warm and by the end of the night I felt more like a part of the family than a hired professional. And let me just say that I have never seen or known a birth to go so fast. I remember the nurses telling her to not move or even sneeze until the doctor got there because Livi was ready! And again the moments of the first meeting were so sweet and emotional. I definitely had tears in my eyes. Ok enough text… meet Livi!
